Harry and the Natives is a local restaurant in the tiny town of Hobe Sound, FL. In between West Palm Beach and Daytona, the locals take pride in their comfortable, hometown feel with a southern Florida flare. Harry's is a staple where you can always go to find friends and feel like family. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere -- let's just say, you won't forget you're in Florida.
Harry and the Natives hired me to develop new menus for their restaurant. After initial research (aka eating at Harry's a LOT), I loved the charm and little knick-knacks and signs hanging around. The majority of Harry's is outside under an enormous grass canopy roof. With their famous tagline "Hobe Sound’s Only Waterfront Restaurant…When It Rains" I had my inspiration.
Even though it is only five minutes from the beach, I wanted to bring the beach views to Harry's and emulate the feeling of sitting under the canopy, sipping piña coladas, eating icebox orange pie, and watching the waves roll in.
